How does shipping work on Ripit?

Written by Ripit Support

How do I request shipment of my slabs?

From your Collection, select the slab or slabs you want shipped by clicking the truck icon. You will be asked to confirm the number of slabs you want shipped and then select Ship It.

During checkout, you will see the applicable shipping and platform fees based on your selections. Please review your shipping information carefully before submitting your request.

Ripit may require identity verification and resolution of any payment disputes, chargebacks, unpaid amounts, account holds, or other issues before releasing slabs for shipment.

How many slabs can I ship at once?

You can currently ship up to 19 slabs in one shipment for a single flat shipping rate.
If your shipment request exceeds Ripit’s current maximum number of slabs per shipment, additional shipments and additional flat-rate shipping charges will apply.
Ripit currently ships slabs only to addresses in the United States and Puerto Rico.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping for slabs is charged at a flat rate of approximately $18 per shipment. The flat rate includes insurance coverage and signature confirmation at no additional cost for up to 19 slabs in one shipment.

Your delivery address, shipping fees, and total amount will be disclosed in the checkout flow before your shipment request is completed.

Who handles slab shipments?

Ripit partners with PSA to support the vaulting, preparation, processing, and administration of customer slab shipments.

PSA administers shipment requests on Ripit’s behalf, which means your slab shipment is prepared, processed, and administered by a partner extremely experienced in handling and shipping high-value graded collectibles.

Once a slab shipment is prepared, Ripit typically uses FedEx or another carrier Ripit determines is appropriate.

How long does shipping take?

Slab shipment requests are typically processed and shipped within 14 business days after any required shipping fees and other applicable amounts are paid.

Ripit and PSA work together to prepare customer slab shipments. During this period, Ripit may also complete identity verification, anti-fraud checks, payment review, or resolution of any account holds before releasing slabs for shipment.

Delivery time after the package is handed to the carrier is separate and may vary based on the carrier, delivery location, weather, missed delivery attempts, signature requirements, or other factors outside Ripit’s control.

How do I track my shipment?

When your slab shipment is assigned a tracking number and sent, the tracking number will appear in your Collection under the Shipped tab.

Use the tracking number on the carrier’s website for delivery updates. Ripit typically uses FedEx, although another carrier may be used when needed or appropriate.

If you do not receive tracking information within approximately 14 business days, please contact [email protected].

Do I need to sign for my shipment?

Yes. For security and anti-fraud purposes, all slab shipments require signature confirmation upon delivery.

It is the collector’s responsibility to be available to receive the shipment. If you are unable to sign for initial delivery, the carrier may attempt delivery again. If the shipment cannot be delivered, it will be returned to sender and placed back in your vault.

If you later request shipment again, applicable shipping fees and timelines will apply to the new shipment request.

Can I change my shipping address after placing a request?

Once a shipment has been requested, the shipping address for that delivery cannot be changed.

Please review your shipping address carefully before submitting your shipment request.

What should I do if my shipment is delayed, lost, or damaged?

First, review the carrier tracking information. Then contact [email protected] with your tracking number and a description of the issue.

For damaged shipments or missing slabs, please keep the slab, packaging, and all shipping materials. Provide photos or other documentation when requested.
Shipping claims may be subject to Ripit’s Terms of Service, carrier review, insurance review, and applicable notice or documentation requirements.
