Withdrawing Funds

Written by Ripit Support

Ripit is a collector platform. Our collectors buy packs and withdraw funds regularly. Every withdrawal goes through a tiered review process before funds are released, based in-part on the amount of the withdrawal and withdrawal frequency. Withdrawals are generally not instant.

Why isn't my withdrawal instant?

  • We perform tiered fraud and security review. Larger withdrawals typically require more review due to increased risk of fraud.

  • We are not a financial institution. Our third-party processor has their own independent requirements. This means Ripit doesn't move money directly or independently. Withdrawals route through our payment processor and standard bank transfer rails (ACH), which have their own settlement timelines outside Ripit's control.

  • We perform compliance checks. As a platform supporting collector behavior , Ripit follows standard identity verification and anti-money-laundering requirements, which add review time.

Withdrawal timeline

Current typical hold periods:

First-time withdrawals:

  • Any amount: up to 14 days

Subsequent withdrawals:

  • Under $1,000: up to 5 business days

  • $1,000–$10,000: up to 8 business days

  • Over $10,000: up to 14 business days

These reflect current review standards and may be adjusted over time. Funds are also subject to your personal bank's posting time on top of the hold period above.

What causes delays beyond the typical hold period?

  • A name mismatch between your bank account and your verified ID (see our bank account article)

  • Incomplete identity verification

  • A flag from third-party routine fraud screening, which may require additional confirmation from you

Can I speed up a withdrawal?

Generally, no. Much of the timeline is set by our processor's settlement standards, not by Ripit directly.

What should I do if my withdrawal is past the typical hold period?

  1. Confirm which timeline your withdrawal falls into based on the amount and if it is your first or subsequent withdrawal.

  2. Confirm your bank account is fully verified and matches your ID name exactly.

  3. Check for any notifications requesting additional verification.

If you've confirmed all the above and you're still outside the typical hold period, contact Ripit support .
